Khajag The growing pup laid lazily on his back, his short, fluffy paws in the air. A faint buzz bounced around in his mind, a sort of haze covered his eyes. There weren't any other pups for him to play with, no apprentices out practicing so he could watch in awe and with jealousy and admiration, no healer to yap and and chat to-- not at the moment, or at least, he didn't feel like it-- and elders were too busy yakking at each other to notice him (not that Element Pack had any yet). So, it went without saying-- but it'll be stated quite simply anyway-- this puppy was bored, with capital letters. Taking a deep breath, he rolled onto his tummy, stood up, and shook himself off, staring lethargically around the boulder-y campsite. Wait... warrior? Maybe he could follow a warrior out of camp? Yeah! Nobody'd notice the gray-gray-and-grayer dog with the creepy pale blue eyes sneak out through the pass after a larger guy. Heck, they might even think he was an apprentice on first glance! Keeping his eerie eyes locked on the entrance of the nearby warriors' den, he tried to watch out for any appearing warriors. Muahaha, the best laid plans of puppies.(( Fail post? |D' Sorry, just wanted to do somethin' with him. ^^' ))

His figure slunk from the warriors den, tail fluffed from a restless sleep. His fur was messy, but this would soon be rectified by a short grooming. The male didn't see the young pup nearby as he licked himself, glad to still be a complete male. As he finished up, Pelz looked about the campsite with pride and his tail wagged from side to side in the joy of his part in it all.
How had certain events led to this life? Ah... it was so beautiful and he was free. Sometimes Pelz wanted to howl his heart out and fill the air with his song. Not that he had anything to sing about; no Pelz's life was not full of love for a female but for now. Just the simple pleasures.
Suddenly a idea sprang to mind of the Saarloos dog which perked up his ears. Amber gaze had noticed the fresh-kill pile far off and he suddenly felt like doing something important for the pack, why not many other dogs were prowling about and he had gotten up very late anyway. This in mind, the bright pelted warrior lurched to his paws and trotted on the spot to wake himself up properly then slowly made his way toward the entrance. He nodded to the other dogs as those white paws led the male on, halfway though Pelz sat down and spoke with another dog, tail wagging as he spoke of his hunting trip. The other dog was beat and politely refused to go with him. Saying goodbye, athletic beast made past the nursery, tail might have swatted any puppies romping, but there was only Khajag in the nursery right now. A quick thought popped to mind and on his way grabbed apiece of meat and nibbled hungrily on it, wanting something in his empty belly first.

Khajag And there, in the Saarloos hound, Khajag saw his chance. He hopped to his paws and crouched on his belly, following Pelz's shadow step for step, humming a spy theme in his mind. Duh nuh nuuuuuuh na! Of course, then some musical numbers popped in, and he couldn't help sort of wiggling his behind... well, he was wagging his tail quite a bit. This was so exciting! Creeping behind a big warrior, ready to go out. Hunting? Aha! Khajag heard "hunting", heard him asking for help. But this puppy knew better than to ask if he could come along-- of course, Pelz would probably be all, "Neee, thou shalt not come hunting the foul beats and creatures-- and fowl-- with me, young knave!" You know, whatever that meant. Khajag just assumed he wouldn't let him come along, since he wasn't even an apprentice yet.
Glancing over his shoulder, Khajag watched for anyone looking at him, but nobody seemed to care or notice much. It wasn't as if he tried to slip out, you know, every day... though that might have been possible, you know, things happen.... Ahem. Anyway. Oh? Meat? Khajag nonchalantly waltzed up and grabbed a small kind of rodent, then gulped it down in a few bites. OMNOMNOM was the sound that came from his mouth, oddly enough, but then he "poofed" and fled back to Pelz's shadow. Muahahaha, Spy Puppy, EFC (Escape From Camp) Part 1-- fool the growed up doggy. Success! So far, anyway. Part 2 was fool all the other growed up doggies.
Well, actually, Khajag didn't have a plan, but it felt so cool being able to be all, "Huwaaah, I are Spy Puppy, fear mah wrath!"

Zaria listened to the patter of tiny pawsteps behind larger ones. She wouldn't have known who they were if it wasn't for scent, but Khajag was obviously follow Pelz around the clearing. His unbalanced wabble gave her hints of his little dance as he pranced behind the warrior. She would watch the pup, make sure he didn't do anything too bad, but for now, she would just let him have fun. Zaria got up, and padded back into the medicine den and began to sort through herbs.

Gnawing around the last scraps of his meal, tongue washing off his lips, the Saarloos looked around with flicking ears. He had spotted the puppy nomming in a craze at his meal and then had continued with the meat. Now, however, the warrior got to his ivory paws and without another glance at his shadow where the little bundle of fur was, - little did he know- trotted off with his tail held high and wagging.
Pelz's stride reached far, and with so much on his mind the adult didn't notice the pup that was following in a loud manner. Where to hunt...? he thought and tried to process this while padding to the entrance. When reaching the way out, Pelz's tail dropped to a horizontal stance slunk through and went to leave the camp. How he hadn't noticed the fumbling pawsteps of the pup was a mystery to all that watched but put in his position with all those things on his mind... they probably would not notice either.

Khajag Khajag was still humming silently in his mind, keeping close to the ground, though his tail continued to swish back and forth, back and forth, brushing the dirt on the ground as he kept up with the larger, older dog. Glancing over his shoulder, he noticed Zaria's glance, but ignored it. The puppy was much more concerned with Pelz's attention and making sure-- or rather, hoping-- that it wasn't on the adorable "spymaster" Khajagpup. The little boy lowered his head and peered around again, trying to be ever-so-careful this time. His other attempts had resulted in failures, though they weren't as ingenious as this one! The others were just random charges out of the entrance. That didn't really work too well.
No, no, this... this was way better. He'd never used his darker fur to slink around in another dog's shadow. Or he might have. Did he? He'd tried so many times, it was hard to keep them all straight. But enough of those thoughts! His icy eyes locked on Pelz's hocks, and Khajag imitated the warrior's movements exactly. Finally! Close to the entrance... just a little bit farther...
